Jim Hawkins Honorable Pirate isnt a card you want in your starting hand, but if you survive until turn 7 (or 6 with Pooh) and play him youre almost guaranteed a couple of card draws
It also combos very nicely with The Last Agni Koi and Ozai the Phoenix King, though this last one is too pricey to see play in Modern

With your good defensive dorks, life gain and mana production it is an impressive finisher
So if you have another copy in your hand, you effectively have a dead card that probably shouldn't be played while the other is out
