The former requires players to dish out -1/-1 counters to be able to target it, and turns counters into card draw and life loss depending on who the creature belongs to

I doubt there are enough colorless creatures (aside from artifacts that care about other artifacts) to warrant this being played outside Standard, but I could see a Commander deck built around colorless, just for fun
