Antique Steel Weymouth Curb Bit by Sowter - Bit960a chinese 6cm (5") Weight : 218gThis steel curb bit has long turning cheeks. The mouthpiece has a low port. One cheek is faintly stamped "Sowter & Co" and the other is stamped "Haymarket" , Sowter & Co left this address around 1910. The bit has its original curb hooks and curb chain. It is in good condition with quite a dark patina and some surface oxidation, but could be burnished to a shine. Dimensions : Mouthpiece 4" (11. 5cm), Cheek length 7" (17. 8cm)Weight : 550g (1lb 3oz)
