What are the weaknesses and retreat cost of this Whismur card

Steer Clear is one of the weakest commons in the set and I almost want to call it a sideboard card against aggressive decks or specific combat tricks

The prototype cost always results in less power and toughness, and a lower mana cost

When you discard a card this way, destroy target nonland permanent an opponent controls with mana value less than or equal to the mana value of the discarded card

It wont stop cards such as Deadly Rollick from the same cycle of cards and it cant beat the rare Exterminatus , but it definitely removes much of the risk involved with having a large board state if you havent been able to dedicate mana to holding up interaction

There is something here for everyone and almost every format
