Im a fan of Elite Trainer Boxes, but they arent for everyone, and if your main goal is to just get cards, then booster packs are probably the better way to go
A four mana, six loyalty walker in green is no easy thing to take down
They are functionally near-identical with one critical difference: Soul Warden: Whenever another creature enters the battlefield, you gain 1 life . mandatory Souls Attendant: Whenever another creature enters the battlefield, you may gain 1 life. optional Why it matters: Against cards like Transcendence (you lose if you have 20 or more life) or in life-total-sensitive scenarios, Souls Attendant lets you choose not to gain life
Only those that do something new, better, cheaply, and flavorfully typically make the cut
Chaotic Goo Chaotic Goo alone is only okay, but it works much better in decks built around +1/+1 counters
It's still an instant or sorcery spell.) You reveal all cards you intend to splice at the same time
