Yquem 2013 is a deep
This is far from an entry-level bottling
and the nose gives of notes of cherry and spices
Seventy percent of the wine matured in barrel and the rest in troncoconic oak vats
It reveals pleasant floral and white fruit notes
Guido Porro Vigna Lazzairasco, Barolo DOCG, Italy 2019 Chateau Puygueraud Yquem 2013 is a deepThis is a superb wine, tasted immediately after the more precocious, younger vine, redder fruited S. Caterina. Full bodied as any Barolo is, but savory, taut and detailed, which only the best examples are. Extreme focus on pithy, beautifully shaped chamois tannins. Darker cherry, thyme, leather, tapenade and forestry notes of spruce, as well as more exotic hints of sandalwood, with a campfire allure lingering long. This is an excellent showing.
